Kris' Database

01/08/2026 - I've decided that I'd like to read all of my read-ables and watch all of my watch-ables this year. I'm going to keep track of what I read and watch on this site. So, here we go!

- Book #1: "Lizard Music" By Daniel Pinkwater. This has been a favorite of mine since gradeschool. I discovered this book with my dear friend Corey Onken, who is no longer with us. It was in the library of Granby Elementary School. This is a very unique story, and I honestly feel it's responsible for my own brand of uniqueness. The story follows Victor, an 11 year old boy who gets to be home alone for days during the summer. He stays up late watching TV and finds an unlisted television show with a band of lizards playing music. This leads him down a rabbit hole of odd-ball characters (including a man with a chicken on his head) and eventually to an island populated by lizards, and protected by a shield that makes it invisible. The lizards watch us on their TV's and are extremely hospitable. If you like fun and unique stories, you'll love this. It's a nice easy read that means a lot to me, which is why it was my choice for my first book of the year.

Old Updates

10/13/2025 - I'm back... And I'm not sure this will be about a "collection". A LOT has changed since I last updated back in June. I'm leaning more towards a project blog now.

06/03/2025 - This is complicated but I refuse to give up! I started playing with tables on this page. I'm going to keep working at this!

06/01/2025 - I think this site (after a whole lot more work) is going to be how I track my collection, and also have a place to document projects. It's going to be a sort of blog with lists... I'll get it figured out. For now I need to re-learn everything about HTML ever!

This is a picture of me at VCF East 2025. I didn't know it was being taken. I was too busy being smitten with the Apple IIe Platinum I had just gotten from consignment!
